Rathnew is a village on the eastern edge of County Wicklow, just north of Wicklow Town. The village is best known as the location of Tinakilly Country House, a Victorian manor hotel set in extensive gardens. The surrounding area is quiet east Wicklow countryside, within easy reach of the coast at Wicklow and the Murrough wetland walk. It makes a comfortable and well-serviced base for exploring the southern reaches of east Wicklow, with Wicklow Town, Arklow and the coastal corridor all accessible.
