Five ways to walk the Way
- 6-day split (Sport Ireland standard): Clonegal → Tinahely → Glenmalure → Glendalough → Roundwood → Knockree → Marlay. Long days (22–25 km).
- 5-day push: Clonegal → Tinahely → Glenmalure → Roundwood → Marlay. Very hard; only for experienced walkers in good weather.
- Half-way break: split at Glendalough and return another weekend. South half (4 stages) + north half (5 stages).
- Day walks only: most popular single stages are Stage 2 (Shillelagh → Tinahely, scenic), Stage 5 (Glenmalure → Glendalough, the Spinc) and Stage 7 (Roundwood → Knockree, Djouce).
- We can book accommodation to fit any split. Request a custom itinerary.
