War Hill & White Hill
War Hill and White Hill near the Sally Gap and Djouce is a moderate-to-strenuous 10–12 km upland loop following sections of the Wicklow Way and timber boardwalk over upland bog. War Hill is traditionally believed to take its name from military training activities once carried out in the surrounding uplands. The granite uplands here were shaped during the last Ice Age. Allow 4–5 hours.

How to walk it
Start at the JB Malone Memorial car park. The War Hill & White Hill Walk is approx. 10–12 km — a moderate-to-strenuous upland loop across open mountain terrain and boardwalk sections of the Wicklow Way. Allow 4–5 hours. Gravel tracks, timber boardwalk and exposed mountain ground.
