Poulanass is a short 1.6 km looped trail in Glendalough that climbs beside the Poulanass Waterfall through woodland paths above the Upper Lake. Stepped and uneven sections — short but steady climb. Allow 40–50 minutes. A manageable shorter Glendalough option for visitors not tackling the Spinc.

Start near the Upper Lake car park at Glendalough. The Poulanass Walk is approx. 1.6 km — a short moderate walk with stepped and uneven sections beside the waterfall. The route climbs above Poulanass Waterfall before descending through woodland back towards the Upper Lake area. Allow 40–50 minutes. Forest tracks, stone paths, timber steps and uneven ground — slippery after rain.
A beautifully restored historic guesthouse on the Square in Tinahely — the Wicklow Way passes through the village. Double, twin and small-double rooms, all with private bathrooms. Self-service coded entry — arrive when it suits you.
