Bray Head Loop south of Bray is a moderate 4–6 km coastal hill walk climbing onto Bray Head with panoramic views across Bray, Dublin Bay and the Irish Sea. The large concrete cross on Bray Head was erected in 1950 during the Holy Year celebrations. Allow 1.5–2 hours.

How to walk it

Start at Bray seafront and follow the hill path towards Bray Head. The Bray Head Loop is approx. 4–6 km — a moderate coastal hill walk climbing onto Bray Head before returning towards Bray. Allow 1.5–2 hours. Gravel paths, stepped sections and uneven grassy slopes.

  • Cliff edges require care in wind
  • Footwear with good grip when wet
  • Coastal winds strong even in mild conditions
  • Busy on weekends and during school holidays
