Ballinastoe Boardwalk is a moderate 5–6 km return upland walk near Roundwood, combining forest tracks, mountain trail and timber boardwalk sections overlooking Lough Tay. The surrounding landscape was shaped by glacial erosion during the last Ice Age. One of the most photographed boardwalk trails in Wicklow. Allow 1.5–2.5 hours.

Start at Ballinastoe Woods car park near Roundwood in the Wicklow Mountains National Park. The Ballinastoe Boardwalk Route is approx. 5–6 km return — a moderate upland walk combining forest tracks, mountain trail and timber boardwalk sections overlooking Lough Tay. Allow 1.5–2.5 hours. Terrain includes gravel forestry roads, timber boardwalk and uneven mountain trail — higher sections are exposed.
