12 Wicklow walks you can do by train from Dublin
No car, no problem. The DART to Bray and Greystones and the Dublin suburban line to Wicklow Town mean a dozen Wicklow walks are within reach for car-less Dubliners. Here's the list, sorted by station.
From Bray DART
Bray Head loop (Bray seafront circular, 6 km). Bray to Greystones cliff walk (7 km linear โ take the DART back). The Sugar Loaf via Kilmacanogue bus from Bray (10 km). Powerscourt Waterfall by taxi from Bray (15 min, then walk).
From Greystones DART
Greystones to Kilcoole cliff walk (6 km linear). Bray to Greystones reverse (same cliff walk). Both end at The Happy Pear for coffee.
From Wicklow Town station
Wicklow Cliff Walk north (6 km to Brittas Bay โ taxi back). Wicklow Gaol heritage walking tour (town centre). Broadlough nature reserve (2 km).
From Rathdrum station
Avondale Forest Park (15-min walk from station). Devil's Glen (taxi from station, 10 min). Vale of Clara (riverside walk near station).
From Arklow station
Arklow Cliff Walk south (4 km linear, spectacular sea views). Brittas Bay (taxi north, 20 min).
What isn't reachable by train
Glendalough, Powerscourt Gardens, Djouce Mountain, the Glen of Imaal, most of the west of the county. For these you need a car, a taxi, or a rental with an Enniskerry-based guide.
